Lives Not Lived

Recently found my friend reading the book entitled, 'Lives on Lived' by Monika Bhatti. Both the cover and the title of the book attracted me so much that I ended up ordering it for myself.

When I started reading it, I had no idea, that I was gonna like it so much and that the meaning of 'Courage' would change for me.

A collection of twenty-seven rich stories that reflect the heart-wrenching narrative of "Women Suffering in Silence and Children Suffering in Violence". They are a painful yet necessary exploration of two groups who bear the heavy burden of societal neglect and abuse.

In our complex and often tumultuous world, there are profound injustices that persist, casting a shadow over the lives of countless women and children.

The character of Hari shows how in the face of adversity, many women display remarkable resilience by embracing and enduring challenging circumstances whereas the rebellious and limitless character of Naina defy societal boundaries and soar to new heights of empowerment at the end of the story.

Similar problems confront Haree and Naina, despite their dissimilar situations. Both of them grapple with profound challenges that, at times, threaten to shatter their sense of self-worth.
Their respective journeys create a tapestry of heartbreaking and spine-tingling narratives as they endeavor to maintain their self-esteem amidst the overwhelming tribulations they face.

Their stories serve as a testament to the indomitable human spirit, reminding us that adversity can strike anyone, and the strength to persevere, rebuild, and emerge stronger lies within the depths of our own resilience.
Their journey is heartbreaking and gives you goosebumps. Their trauma is unbearable and makes you cry and leaves you breathless. The story also reveals the reality of human relationships and the way they change their behavior.

With the help of this book, the author is giving a poignant reminder that the battle for women's rights is far from over.

She wants society to listen, empathize, and provide support and resources to empower women to break free from their suffering and live lives of dignity, fulfillment, and freedom.

The writing style is pretty engaging and picturesque. Overall a perfect blend of various emotions and worth reading.

I strongly recommend reading this compelling tale of strength, courage, and the enduring human spirit.
Within its pages lies an inspiring narrative that showcases the boundless capacity of individuals to overcome adversity and emerge stronger.

It's a captivating read that will leave you both moved and uplifted, reminding us that even in the face of life's greatest challenges, the human spirit can triumph and shine brightly.

Kudos to the Author for writing such wonderful chapters along with some interesting or I would say, relatable quotes.

I would give this book a 5 star.
